I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
"I can't do this!" When was the last time you uttered those words? For me, it was yesterday. I had a number of things clamoring for my urgent attention. I couldn't find a file that I desperately needed...for some strange reason, I could not get logged into my computer and I had a meeting to attend in under 30 minutes. Ugh...it was one of those frustrating times for me. And I did the worse thing--I allowed my circumstances control me.
WRONG! I lost my calming compass that keeps me floating evenly. I forgot whose child I was. I let the surrounding situation get me flustered and I started sinking...fast.
We all know we should never let this happen, but unfortunately it does...probably more times than we care to mention.
We weren't made to handle life's issues by ourselves. 'I can't do this...' because 'I am not supposed to do this...on our own' God's strength is right there for us to tap into...to rely on...to hold us up, when we can't do it on our own. We are not super-humans. We can't do it all on our own. The sooner we recognize that, the better off we will be...the smoother our lives will run.
Alright...my 15 minutes are up. I have to finish getting ready for work.
Have a blessed Wednesday!
