This is God's day...

Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:22,23

Good morning all,

A wonderful new day awaits us!  We have the opportunity to make this day whatever we want it to be.  We can choose now how to deal with whatever comes our way.  We can either just shoot from the hip, so to speak, and just react to the outside forces...or we can pray our way through our day right now before we start.  We can ask the Lord to guide our thoughts and actions during our commute in, whether it's by public transportation or by our own vehicle.  Ask Him to help us deal with the irritated people around us.  I know I see a lot of them as I am driving in every morning.  It was quite an interesting journey as I watched them last night from work.  It almost felt like I was watching a movie while eating my snack.  They were busy jockeying for position, trying to quickly move around the driver in front of them.  Ask the Lord to guide our actions when we walk in the door of our office or the grocery store or whatever building we are heading to first thing this morning.  Do we just 'go off' on those people who decide to not treat us as we feel we should be treated?  Or do we show the compassion of God and just let it go?  We don't really need to show our anger at every little 'wrong' thing that comes our way.  We like to say we like to be in control, so let's choose to be 'in control' of us...let's choose to be calm today, no matter what comes our way.  Don't let the enemy have a foot hold in setting us off...getting us to react as the world reacts.  We are a special people.  Let's act like that.  We are God's chosen people. Let's act as we do on Sundays in church.  Let's bring that calm, church attitude to the the our commute.  Let's demonstrate to this world how Christians really act.  Let's decide right now before our day really starts to make this day new and different from any other day. 

 This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.  Psalm 118:24

This is God's day...let's make Him proud!
