God's Promises...part 2

Posted by vking on March 31, 2015 at 9:20 PM

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you;  Matthew 7:7

Welcome April 1st!

That opening is no April Fool's joke...that is for real!  And according to the responses I received today (Tuesday), many of you believe God is a present help in times of trouble...He knows those who call His name...He will never leave nor forsake His children.

In appreciation of those of you who responded and to possibly encourage others, here are some of your favorite promises from God:

 1 - John 16:33

 2- Psalm 103: 1-5

 3 - Joshua 1:9

4 - Romans 8:28

5 - Philippians 4:4-8

6 - Jeremiah 33:3

7 - Psalm 91

8 - Psalm 92

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing with me!

One of you mentioned about trials and tribulations, how they are going to be a part of our lives, but God is there to help us endure.  What I have also found is that because of the trials and tribulations, and if we maintain our constant connection with our Father, we will come through them with a much stronger bond with God.  Believe me, I have had my share of tribulations just over the past 12 months...however I feel even closer to my Father than prior to the tribulations.  And that's the best present I could have received.  It kind of makes me think about this movie 'The Shawshank Redemption' where this wrongfully imprisoned man crawled through all types of mud and gunk to make his way to freedom.

Sometimes I believe we have to go through trials and tribulations to get to that spot where God wants us to be.  We learn through having to endure those trials and tribulations.

I am probably one of few people who doesn't want a 'Do Over', because then I wouldn't have gone through what I needed to go through to get to where I am today.  (hopefully that makes sense to you...)

Anyway, this is kind of long so I'd better stop.

Thanks again to all those who responded.  Thanks to all those who have told me personally how much you enjoy reading these and being inspired.  Someone once told me if just one person was inspired, then I should feel satisfied.

God bless you all!
