By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Hebrews 13:15
Good morning all!
This is the beginning of a new work week of a brand new year - 2015! I haven't published my blogs in a long while and I don't know about you, but I missed creating them. There have been so many pulls to my evening time that all I've been able to do is think about them...what the topic would be if I did one on that particular day. I finally decided over the holiday weeks that the first of the year, I would take time to do at least one a week to start with. I will see where God leads me after that.
Let's start off 2015 with an Attitude of Gratitude...not necessarily my phrase. This is what my church's motto for this new year. I think it is a fabulous idea! I realize that last year, there were a number of unexpected missteps...either in our personal life, work life or the life of our family and friends. And I know I am not just talking about me. I am 100% sure you had your share of 'interesting occurrences'.
We know that it's much easier to praise God when things are going right for us, then when things are going sour. But according to God's word, we should not be praising Him just at those times.
I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise should continually be in mouth. Psalms 34:1
I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. I also do not believe in coincidences. God places just the right person in the right place at the right time. I have personally seen that happening to me just in the past week. If I have needed something...needed to speak to someone, God places the answer right in front of me. All I can do is smile and think how awesome God is!
I am betting if you thought about it, you could probably find some instances in your own life where it may seemed that just the person you needed to see 'appeared' right in your path.
Think about it...then send me a follow up note on your story!
I am hoping you all still want to read my inspirational blogs, even after my taking off a number of months!
Dear God...help us to remember that nothing happens to us, unless it has gone through you first. Help us to continually praise you in the good times and in the bad times.
Have a blessed Monday and a Happy New Year!
