Today's Gift...

Posted by vking on September 10, 2014 at 9:25 PM

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.  Psalm 90:12

Take therefore no thoughts for the morrow; for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.  Matthew 6:34

Happy Thursday!

What a great day today is!  A brand new 24 hours!

"It's your gift from God...what you do with it, is your gift back to God."

I really like that saying, but unfortunately...it's not my original thought.  However, I agree with it wholeheartedly.  What are you going to do with this series of 24 hours?  Hopefully, not worry about something that might happen tomorrow.  Tomorrow is not guaranteed.  Even worse, is to worry about what happened yesterday...History!

How can you brighten someone else's day?  What can you do to bring a smile to another person's face?

What can you do to lighten someone else's heavy burden?

Is it really necessary to tailgate the driver in front of you?  If they're like me...that is not going to make them go any faster.  All it will do is make you angry...or angrier.  Why would you want to spend any of these 24 given hours being angry, when you really don't have to be?

Is it really necessary to be irritable with your co-worker because they are not understanding something you've explained to them before.  Believe me...being irritable at them is not going to help their ability to understand any better.  All it will do is make you angry...or angrier.  And, why would you want to spend any of these 24 given hours being angry, when you really don't have to be?

Are you getting the picture?

Today...Thursday 9/11/2014 is a good day to practice 'Your random act of kindness day'.

Maybe comment me back and let me know how that 'act' made you feel.  I don't want to know what you did...just that you did do at least one act of kindness gesture.

Have a blessed day!
