Praise the Lord

Posted by vking on August 24, 2014 at 10:35 PM

I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the Lord, and the praises of the Lord, according to all that the Lord hath bestowed on us, and the great goodness towards the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses. Isaiah 63:7

Happy Monday!

I am praying this is the first of five blog entries this week. I haven't been back at it for several weeks. But, God-willing, this will be the week!

First of all, today is August 25th...which may mean nothing real special to you. But to me...this is the day my daughter was born. That's a big thing for me!

This have been a tremendous year for me. Not only do I have a daughter 25 years old and a son 27 years old, but I also have a gorgeous GrandBaby, who I can't seem to get enough of.

I had a fabulous weekend...albeit a busy one! Thanks to my daughter, I have no problems driving to and from Mentor Mall. That's probably a good thing, because before the only mall I ever frequented was Richmond Mall. Unfortunately, that one has changed so much since I first ventured there many years ago.

I attended my church's neighborhood picnic on Saturday. The weather was perfect. It was fairly warm, but under the tent there was a welcome breeze. I was able to speak to several people about possibly participating in our Drama Ministry's upcoming Christmas production. I will be excited to see the play I adapted from The Encounter come to life right in front of me. Kind of cool!

My son-in-law came to church on Sunday with my GrandBaby and I got to play the role of Proud GrandMA. (Even being called GrandMa...doesn't bother me!) I loved it to pieces. I felt like I was glowing!!

Afterwards, my husband and I went to brunch and talked about our upcoming vacation. It's going to be fun venturing back to the city where I attended college.

How was your weekend? Did you do anything exciting?

Oh...and I don't want to forget about a friend of mine who celebrated a birthday on Sunday (DP!) I pray your birthday was wonderful and this upcoming year a glorious adventure!

Take time to Praise the Lord every day, if for no other reason than just the fact that you woke up!

Have a blessed Monday!
